Peter (my much loved father) was born in Ditchling near Brighton in East Sussex on 3rd September 1947 to his parents (my grandparents) Sam and Doris Holmes. He grew up with his 2 brothers Michael and John and sister Barbara (Michael sadly passed away suddenly January 2008 at the age of 63). Dad always loved to reminisce and use to tell us many stories of when he was little at the dinner table including a time he was at the zoo. One minute he was in the pushchair the next he fell out onto the floor hehe. This story was told many times but each time he would be in fits of laughter about it which then set my sister and I off.
